Are Shampoo bars better for your hair?
Made without the sulfates and other harsh detergents used in liquid formulas, shampoo bars are gentler, cleansing hair without stripping it. Not to mention that they're perfectly travel-friendly, and have minimal impact on the environment thanks to their lack of plastic and packaging.
Can they strip the hair from natural oils?
They offer a better pH balance and are considered more gentle that's because they contain fewer cleansing agents that can strip natural oils from hair.
Why does the Conditioner last longer than the Shampoo bar?
As the conditioner doesn’t produce as much lather due to the conditioning ingredients it will outlast the shampoo bar.
To prevent both bars from dissolving too quickly make sure you dry the bar with a paper towel and make sure it not left in pooled water or leave it wet, otherwise it will dissolve.
My hair is coloured can I still use your Shampoo and Conditioner bars?
Yes if course!
Our bars are pH balanced so they won’t strip the colour anymore than using any other shampoo or conditioner on the market.
Is it safe to use the Shampoo and Conditioner bars on children?
Our shampoo and conditioner bars are safe to use on children as they contain no harsh chemicals and pure ingredients.
Just like any other soap or hair products they need to be kept away from the eyes, as the shampoos tend to be acidic rather than alkaline though; this is because an acidic environment encourages the cuticle layer of your hair to lie flat, giving you smoother and shinier hair. And there’s no real problem with having a slightly acidic shampoo, as long as you keep it away from your sensitive little eyes!
Why should I use solid Shampoo and Conditioner bars?
First of all there is no extra packaging or plastic. We use environmental sustainable labels that are printed using soy based inks, the labels can be recycled and leave no plastic waste. Feel good for doing good for our planet! These cute little round bars are also the perfect travel companion, saving you space and easy to transport, especially great for camping trips!
How long will they last?
This depends on your hair length and thickness and obviously how often you wash your hair, on average a solid bar should last you up to 6 times longer than bottled products.
Do you use Palm oil in your products?
Definitely a big NO as Kirra Earth is an ethical brand we do not support products which destroy the habitat of already endangered species! It’s hard to find products without out it as palm oil is cheap and efficient, however it has a devastating toll on the environment and landscape. Instead some of our key ingredients are Olive oil, Bran oil, Avocado oil, Coconut Oil and Shea butter!
